A Prayer

Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people, but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” And he laid his hands on them and went away.
Matthew 19:13-15

My sweet boys. I pray that we wouldn't hinder you from going to the Rock, the Redeemer, but that we would guide and direct you in wisdom and love.

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
Deuteronomy 6:6-8

That we would teach you to love the Word of God. So that the Spirit may ignite in you a passion for His glory.

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Matthew 9:37-38

And that we would be able to send you into the world with full hearts as workers in the harvest, knowing that our God is your Shepherd and is with you always.

For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
Acts 13:47
